Just 24 hours to the biggest cricketing carnival - ICC World Cup 2023, Virat Kohli has put out a humble plea to his friends asking for tickets. In an Instagram story, the star Indian batter asked his friends to not bug him for stadium tickets and to enjoy the game from the comfort of their home.
"As we approach the World Cup, I would humbly like to let all my friends know to not request me for tickets all through the tournament. Enjoy from your homes please," Kohli wrote followed by a laughing emoji.
Soon after Kohli's post, Anushka Sharma responded to her husband's post on her Instagram adding, "And let me just add… please don't request me to help if your messages go unanswered. Thank you for your understanding."

India will begin their World Cup campaign against Chennai and the tickets for the Chepauk games are already sold out. Being one of the tournament favourites and also the host nation, the buzz for the ultimate ODI clash is at its best.
This won't be the first time that an Indian cricketer spoke about such ticket requests that they receive from their inner circle of friends and family. Earlier, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, and Ashish Nehra candidly shared their experiences of being troubled for match tickets including a few of the 2011 games.
India comes into the quadrennial competition on the back of winning the Asia Cup and triumphing over Australia by 2-1 in a three-match home ODI series.
