Ravi Ashwin, Jonny Bairstow to set unique record in Dharamshala Test
Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and England batter Jonny Bairstow will becompleting their respective 100th Test matches when the two teams clash for the final of the five-game series at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamshala from the game starting on March 7, 2024.

This will only be the second time that a player each from opposing times will play their landmark 100th Test in the same game.
On March 6, seasoned New Zealand players Tim Southee and Kane Williamson will be featuring in their 100th Test together when the Kiwis face Australia. Ashwin recently became only the second Indian after Anil Kumble to surpass the feat of 500 wickets in whites, 13 years since he debuted for India in Test cricket in 2011.
Meanwhile, Bairstow will become the 17th player from England to get the 100th cap in red ball cricket for the Three Lions.

Even he debuted for the team only in 2012, and has been in and out of the side over the years. He cemented his spot in the side after producing many match-winning knocks since Brendon McCullum took over the coaching reins in 2022.
