"My investment in STAGE represents more than just a desire to rekindle the flames of our diverse regional dialects. We will embark on a journey together to reawaken dormant languages and empower every voice, ensuring that our cultural heritage thrives in its true form through this platform," the 25-year-old explained.
JSW Sports COO Divyanshu Singh hailed Chopra as a global icon who continues to be connected with his roots. He reiterated that the player has won laurels for his country whilst being completely in touch with where he comes from and staying true to his natural personality as well.
"His coming on board as an investor with STAGE, which is a very dialect-centric OTT platform is very relevant to him and the brand. It’s a long-term association, and one we at JSW Sports are very delighted to have facilitated for him," Singh remarked.
STAGE is said to have garnered over six million installations and this strategic partnership will give a big boost to its popularity. Chopra is preparing for the Paris Olympics and won the gold medal in the World Athletic Championships this year.
