Australia offers to host a India versus Pakistan cricket series
The last time the world witnessed a India versus Pakistan clash in a bilateral cricket since it was January 6, 2013. Since then, the two teams have only played against each other at events organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Bilateral tours between the two teams have been suspended due to bitter political relations between the two countries. Players from Pakistan are also not been allowed to participate in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
However, now Cricket Australia has offered to host a game between the two arch rivals if the two countries agree to play.
"I think anyone that was here for the India-Pakistan game at the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground), it will go down as one of the most memorable occasions, not just sporting occasions, that I've ever been to," Nick Hockley, the chief executive of Cricket Australia said in an interview with ESPN Cricinfo.
"So people want to see that contest. We would love to host that if the opportunity arose. If we can play a role, we'd love to play a role," he added.
The Melbourne match being referred to was the group stage clash between India and Pakistan in the T20 World Cup on October 23, 2022. Virat Kohli, with an unbeaten 82, was the player of the match between arch rivals.
More than 90,000 people turned up for the riveting match, according to reports.
