Head coach Rahul Dravid feels this was the stand-out moment of the India-England Test series

In the post-match presentation, Rahul Dravid said that there were many shining moments in this Test series with some amazing debuts but acknowledged that the return of Ravichandran Ashwin from a personal emergency underlined the character of this outfit.

"I'd just say Ashwin coming back to the team after what he went through (as the stand-out moment). Ash wanting to come back and contribute to the team I think, for me, it signified what this team is about and its character. I think that was just for me, probably the standout moment of the series. It gladdens your heart as a coach to the kind of environment that had been created," said Dravid.

Ashwin played the 100th Test match and took a five-wicket haul.  Of the five debutants, India fielded in the series, wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel, batters Sarfaraz Khan and Devdutt Padikal and seamer Akash Deep impressed immediately.
