FIFA World Cup 2022 Highlights, Day 9: Brazil and Portugal join France in the Round of 16

Day 9 saw 14 goals scored, the highest number of goals scored on a single matchday so far. Serbia and Cameroon entertained the neutrals with a 3-3 draw at the Al Janoub Stadium before South Korea and Ghana almost replicated their final score. Ghana edged the Koreans 3-2  at the Education City Stadium. Brazil booked their ticket to the next round with a narrow 1-0 win against Switzerland before Portugal also jumped on the bandwagon after a 2-0 win against Uruguay.

Two wins in two games sees Portugal become the third team to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2022 Round of 16. France and Brazil were the first two sides to reserve their spots. The pressure is off A Selecao as they will play South Korea next aiming for another win or draw so they can finish at the top of Group H.
