After Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli's deepfake video is getting circulated on the internet in which he is seen promoting an illegal betting company in AI-generated voice. The video footage has been picked from one of his sit-down interactions done for In Depth with Graham Bensinger's YouTube channel.

In the video, Kohli's AI-generated voice has been used and synced with the morphed footage from his previous interview. He is also seen promoting illegal betting to earn money at a higher rate on a low-key investment by using this particular app.
The misleading video has been flagged by many social media users so that fans don't fall for it. In the promotional video, Kohli can be seen making a profit of Rs 81,000 from an investment of just Rs 1,000.
BCCI Secretary Jay Shah backed the batting maestro despite several rumours. During a media interaction at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Shah said if a promising player asks for a personal leave in 15 years then it's important to back them.
"If somebody is asking for a personal leave in 15 years then it is his right to ask for it. Virat is not that kind of a player that he would ask for a leave without any reason. We must back and trust our players," he said. But the BCCI secretary did not give any details if Kohli, like Rohit Sharma who was confirmed as the T20 captain for the upcoming World Cup, would be available for the showpiece event. "We will talk about Virat later," Shah said.
