Daniil Medvedev looking to undo Australian Open errors in Indian Wells finals

Medvedev is taking a broader outlook towards the entire season, other than the four Grand Slams. He is hoping that this perspective will help him at the Indian Wells, which is incidentally the only Masters 1000 title that he has won on a hardcourt surface yet.

Daniil Medvedev looking to undo Australian Open errors in Indian Wells finals
Daniil Medvedev has said that he needs to outperform Carlos Alcaraz to clinch the Indian Wells final in the California Desert on Sunday.

Medvedev defeated Tommy Paul 1-6 7-6(3) 6-2 in the last-four match in the semi-final fixture. Alcaraz and Medvedev will be battling in the summit clash of the competition for the second straight year.
Alcaraz has emerged victorious in three out of his previous four matches with Medvedev. He has a 3-2 record against the Russian professional.
Medvedev will be taking to the coming game with the same mental approach that he went into the Australian Open final. Unfortunately, the player had lost that game to Janik Sinner.
"I knew last three times Sinner beat me, and I knew if I want to win I have to go there, give my all, 11 out of 10, 20 out of 10, whatever. That's the way I entered the match with Carlos in the U.S. Open, also. I still feel this way, especially on this court," Medvedev said.

"I want to try to win more than just Grand Slams. I want to try to play good in other tournaments. I'm happy that here I managed to do it and it's not a Grand Slam but I managed to stay focused, fight till the end, and yeah, try to win it. I'm just trying my best all the time. Sometimes my best is very good. Sometimes it's not. Let's hope tomorrow it's going to be very good," Medvedev said.
