Mohammed Siraj joins the elite list of Best Bowling innings in the Asia Cup 50-overs format after taking his sixth wicket in the final match against Sri Lanka in Colombo. India locked horns against Sri Lanka in the finals of the continental contest and after 30 minutes day due to rain, India started off with the new ball.
The speedster became the second to Ajantha Mendis who had reduced India to 13/6 in the Asia Cup final in Karachi, on July 06, 2008. Sri Lanka won the game by 100 runs as India was all out at 173. Virender Sehwag's heroic 60 runs and former skipper MS Dhoni's knock of 49 runs went in vain as Sri Lanka's Mendis showed his sheer dominance in the summit clash.

Mendis dismissed some of the leading batsman in that game namely, Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Irfan Pathan and RP Singh and eventually Sri Lanka won the Asia Cup in 2008

Sri Lanka skipper Dasun Shanaka won the toss and elected to bat against India in the Asia Cup final on Sunday. Sri Lanka made one change, bringing in Dushan Hemantha in place of Maheesh Theekshana.
For India, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav were back in the playing eleven after being rested for one game, while Washington Sundar came in for the injured Axar Patel.
Hardik Pandya complemented Siraj with three wickets whereas Bumrah took the opening wicket of the game to bowl out Sri Lanka for 50 runs in the first innings.
