Besides being a renowned scientist, former chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Dr K Radhakrishnan is also known for his passion for singing. A video capturing his performance at a temple event in Kerala has surfaced on social media.  Shared by a user on 'X,' the video portrays Dr. Radhakrishnan fully immersed in his singing performance, accompanied by a group of musicians.

Dressed in traditional attire, the bearded scientist captivated the audience with his skilled vocal renditions of Carnatic music.
The event was organised at the Koodalmanikyam Temple in Irinjalakuda in Thrissur.
An 'X' user, praising the scientist, wrote, "Dr. K Radhakrishnan, who used to be the chairman of ISRO, is singing Carnatic music at Koodalmanikyam Temple in Kerala. He is skilled in Carnatic music and is also a Kathakali dancer. Bharat has consistently been a place where science, spirituality, and culture come together, reflecting the core of #SanatanDharma."
Reacting to the video, many took to the comment section and appreciated his talent. A user while highlighting his passion for classical music wrote, "He was the chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation and continued his passion for Indian classical vocal music. This is the blend of Science with Spirituality which keeps humans humble, down to earth yet successful in science and engineering", while another one wrote, "His voice is beautiful and so well suited to Carnatic music."
Dr Koppillil Radhakrishnan headed the Indian Space Research Organisation from November 2009 to December 2014. He has served as the Chairman of the Space Commission and Secretary of the Department of Space as well.
Prior to this, he worked in various capacities at ISRO, looking over the system planning, technology management, preparation, and review of annual budgets for ISRO.
He is also a trained classical singer and Kathakali dancer. He started learning classical music in 1995 and later became a disciple of RS Ramakanth and Nookala Chinna Satyanarayana. Since then the former ISRO chairman never looked back and has been performing at various festivals in many states.
