Indian Space Research Organisation Nigar Shaji said the Aditya L-1 mission is a eight-year-long journey and the biggest challenge was to keep the team motivated through these years. Shaji is the Project Director of ISRO's Aditya L-1 Mission, country's first solar mission launched in 2023.
"The mission started in 2015 and it is an eight-year-long journey. To keep the team motivated throughout these eight years. Finally, it has paid of," Shaji said at the CNBC-TV18's 'Future Female Forward - Season 2' event.
She began her career in the ISRO in 1987 and joined the Satish Dhawan Space Center (SHAAR) in Andhra Pradesh. She has worked in different roles at the U.R. Rao Satellite Centre in Bengaluru.
She has also worked on the design and development of Indian remote sensing, communication, and interplanetary satellites. She worked as the associate project director for the Indian remote sensing satellite Resourcesat-2A.
