Not in talks with Amazon but looking to get into omnichannel space, says V-Mart CMD

Lalit Agarwal, CMD of V-Mart Retail, spoke to CNBC-TV18 about the latest happenings in the company and sector.

Agarwal said that, "Both retailers and consumers are upgrading themselves, getting better in their thought process. Therefore, things are looking positive".

“We are expecting 5 percent (same-store sales growth) and we expect more to come in because marriage season this time has shifted and normally this gets shift, but otherwise there is a good demand and we see it coming up in the next year. The quarter seems to be heavy on marriage dates and people are going to consume more. So we would see higher growth coming in,” said Agarwal on Monday.
