How is the retail sector managing the reopening and given that there is little appetite for discretionary expenditure, will the sector have to make long-term structural changes to survive? Fabindia started in 1960 as a single store and today operates 327 stores in 118 cities. It has 3.8 million customers on its loyalty programme and its turnover last year was over Rs 1,000 crore.
