Dairy product manufacturer Amul on Friday said the government should focus more on animal husbandry and dairy sector.
Dairy product manufacturer Amul on Friday said the government should focus more on animal husbandry and dairy sector.
In an interview to CNBC-TV18, RS Sodhi, managing director, said, "I feel our government has to still understand more about the contribution of dairy and animal husbandry sector in the rural economy."
"On animal husbandry or dairy, there is income tax, whereas on cultivation there is no income tax. When you say agriculture is a priority sector, dairy is not included. On all agriculture, whether it is fruits or vegetable, there is no tax."
