E-commerce giants Flipkart and Amazon are giving instant cardless loan against Aadhaar, reported The Times of India.
The move, according to some lawyers, is in violation of Supreme Court’s verdict barring the use of Aadhaar identification by private entities, the report said.
Instant cardless loan by Flipkart and Amazon is aimed at pushing sales during the festive season. With the new Aadhaar option, users can now avail credit without any debit or credit cards, the report said.
According to the report, users can now avail up to Rs 60,000 through the mobile apps of the e-commerce firms.
