Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor will soon be appointed as the next brand ambassador of Coca-Cola, reported Business Standard, citing sources close to the knowledge.
The actor is already having discussions with the non-alcoholic beverage brand to endorse it, said the BS report on Tuesday, adding that Kapoor is negotiating a multi-year contract with the brand.
Kapoor, who earlier endorsed Coke's rival brand Pepsi, has been charging Rs 6-8 crore for endorsements per brand per year after the success of his film 'Sanju,' the report said. The Bollywood actor also endorsed brands like Flipkart and Asian Paints among others.
If the deal takes place, Kapoor will join his peers such as Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra and Deepika Padukone, who have endorsed coke.
With a brand value of nearly Rs 150 crore ($21 million), the actor is placed at 16th position on celebrity endorsement list by consultancy firm Duff and Phelps.
