The Lok Sabha election 2024 will be held in seven phases from April 19 to June 1. The counting of votes will be held on June 4, the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced on Saturday, March 16.

In Jammu and Kashmir, polling for the five parliamentary constituencies will be conducted in five phases, with each of the Lok Sabha seats going for polls in different phases.


The poll panel informed that there are a total of 86.93 lakh eligible voters in the Union Territory, including 42.58 lakh women and 161 people of third gender.
