TMC got ₹540 crore worth electoral bonds from Future Gaming, reveals SBI data

Future Gaming gave ₹509 crore to DMK, nearly ₹160 crore to YSR Congress Party, ₹100 crore to BJP and ₹50 crore to Congress. The two parties of Sikkim together got less than ₹10 crore from Future Gaming.

TMC got ₹540 crore worth electoral bonds from Future Gaming, reveals SBI data
The State Bank of India (SBI) data has revealed that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) got at least ₹540 crore worth of electoral bonds from Future Gaming. It made the TMC the biggest beneficiary of donations made by 'lottery king' Santiago Martin.

The gaming company also donated to DMK, YSR Congress, BJP and Congress, as per the SBI data released by the Election Commission (SC).
Sikkim Krantikari Morcha and Sikkim Democratic Front also received some funds from Future Gaming — the biggest donor to political parties which purchased bonds worth ₹1,368 crore.
Future Gaming gave ₹509 crore to DMK, nearly ₹160 crore to YSR Congress Party, ₹100 crore to BJP and ₹50 crore to Congress. The two parties of Sikkim together got less than ₹10 crore from Future Gaming.
The second-biggest donor is known to be Hyderabad-based Megha Engineering, which has given ₹966 crore to various parties including BJP, Bharat Rashtra Samiti and DMK. The saffron party was the major receiver of funds from big corporate groups like Vedanta, Bharti Airtel, Muthoot, Bajaj Auto, Jindal group and TVS Motor.
The Election Commission on Thursday made public a fresh data set of electoral bonds, including their alpha-numeric numbers that can help match their purchasers with the political parties that received the funds.
The data was made public following a Supreme Court order.
