Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said that the seat distribution between Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) and the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction) is in its final stages in Maharashtra. He said the BJP's Parliamentary board will take a call on a possible alliance with Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).
Confident of his electoral prospects in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and Prime Minister Narendra Modi retaining his chair, Gadkari, at the Network18 Rising Bharat summit, said the NDA alliance will win over 400 seats in the elections.
Gadkari said he considers people of his constituency as his family members and tries to work for everyone who comes to him with problems.
Gadkari refused to comment on the issue of Electoral Bonds in view of pendency of the case before the Supreme Court. He also denied allegations of misuse of the Enforcement Directorate for political vendetta and said the central agency is doing its duty.
