The tussle over the three new farm sector laws, that were recently passed by the parliament is the latest flashpoint in the debate on cooperative federalism between Centre and states. While many opposition-ruled states have come out against the Centre, accusing it of encroaching into their powers, Congress president Sonia Gandhi has told Congress chief ministers to explore bringing in-laws in order to override the central laws.
