PM Modi to meet India Inc on March 5 to discuss PLI scheme

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to interact with the industry leaders on the PLI scheme on March 5.

The government has approved the production-linked-incentive (PLI) scheme for 10 sectors worth Rs 1.45 lakh crore over the next five years.

According to sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to interact with the industry leaders on the PLI scheme on March 5.
As many as 42 industry heads are invited for this webinar with the PM. The government officials to be present in this webinar will include DPIIT Secretary and NITI Aayog CEO. The discussion is expected to be around implementation outlay of the PLI scheme, budgetary support, exports and employment issues.
Some of the key leaders that are expected to participate include Pawan Goenka of Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M), RC Bhargava of Maruti Suzuki, Sangita Reddy of Apollo Hospitals, N Chandrasekaran of Tata Group and Gopal Vittal of Airtel.
