Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla raises a motion against Congress's Leader of Opposition Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury for unparliamentary words used against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Through a voice vote, Chowdhury is suspended for the rest of the session. Chowdhury had compared Narendra Modi to Nirav Modi during his speech on the no confidence motion against the Modi government over the Modi issue.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla called for a vote on the No-Confidence Motion brought by Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi. In a voice vote, the Speaker found ayes to be in majority. As such the no-confidence motion was defeated.
