The swearing-in ceremony at Raj Bhavan not only marked this significant transition but also initiated the formation of a revamped cabinet.

Samrat Choudhary is the newly appointed Deputy Chief Minister and BJP State President. Known for his distinctive turban, Choudhary an OBC leader from the Koeri community has been a prominent figure in Bihar politics. His political journey, weaving through multiple parties, including the RJD and JDU, has now culminated in a pivotal role within the new cabinet.
Vijay Kumar Sinha: A Journey from Civil Engineering to Political Leadership
Vijay Kumar Sinha, the newly appointed cabinet member, hails from the influential Bhumihar community. His political journey began during his civil engineering days at a polytechnic in Barauni when he became involved with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, the student wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He debuted in the Bihar Assembly in 2010 and later took on the role of the Minister of Labour Resources. He was also the Speaker of the Bihar Assembly in 2020.
Sumit Kumar Singh: Independent MLA and Stalwart Politician from Chakai
In a unique addition to Nitish Kumar's cabinet, Sumit Kumar Singh, an independent MLA representing the Chakai constituency, secured a ministerial position. He is the sole independent MLA in Bihar, making his inclusion in the cabinet all the more significant. Recognised as one of the state's most educated legislators, Singh has consistently held control over the Chakai assembly seat.
