Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday, September 25, refuted speculations on his return to the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance.
"You all know, I have been working to unite the opposition. I have nothing to do with what others say," Nitish said, as reported by news agency ANI.

Bihar Assembly Deputy Speaker and senior JD(U) leader Maheshwar Hazari had said that no one is more capable of becoming the PM candidate of the INDIA alliance than Nitish Kumar.
BJP MP Sushil Kumar Modi also remarked that Nitish cannot have an alliance with BJP now. "Not once but twice Amit Shah made it clear that the doors of the BJP are closed for him. We will win elections in 2024 and also 2025. I have made it clear that he cannot enter BJP now."
Also, Nitish's Janata Dal United of INDIA alliance, a group of over two dozen parties, which have come together to jointly fight against the BJP in Lok Sabha elections 2024. The first meeting of the alliance was held in Bihar which was hosted by Nitish and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.
