Modi first PM to give importance to speedy growth in Northeast, says Assam CM Sonowal
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the first prime minister who has given a lot of importance and priority to the speedy growth of entire Northeast, said Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
In an interview with CNBC-TV18's Archana Shukla, Sonowal talked about the plans for the Northeast region going ahead if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is elected.
In terms of the citizenship amendment bill, he said, “This time in our manifesto, this has been clarified that after a thorough consultation, the part will come at the consensus. That means taking everybody into confidence, so now I believe no one has to have any apprehension.”
