Lok Sabha Election Results 2019: Maneka Gandhi wins Sultanpur seat by a margin of 14,000 votes

Union minister and BJP leader Maneka Gandhi on Thursday won from Sultanpur constituency in Uttar Pradesh against Bahujan Samaj Party’s Chandra Bhadra Singh Sonu by a margin of 14,000 votes.

Union minister and BJP leader Maneka Gandhi on Thursday won from Sultanpur constituency in Uttar Pradesh against Bahujan Samaj Party’s Chandra Bhadra Singh Sonu by a margin of 14,000 votes.

According to Election Commission, Sonu has polled 4,44,670, while Gandhi received 4,59,196 votes.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Varun Gandhi of BJP won in this seat by defeating the BSP candidate by a margin of 1,78,902 votes which was 18.54 percent of the total votes polled in the constituency.
BJP had a vote share of 42.52 percent in 2014 in the seat. There were a total of 15 contestants in 2014.
