Nationalist Congress Party boss said the decision of his nephew Ajit Pawar to support the BJP to form the Maharashtra government was the latter’s personal decision and not that of his. “We place on record that we do not support or endorse this decision of his,” he tweeted.
Ajit Pawar's decision to support the BJP to form the Maharashtra Government is his personal decision and not that of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).We place on record that we do not support or endorse this decision of his.

The senior Pawar had said on Friday that Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray will become Maharashtra chief minister. "There is unanimity on the name of Uddhav Thackeray for Chief Minister's post. Now, he must take it up," Pawar said.
But on Saturday morning, BJP turned the tables on rivals, engineering a split in the NCP. A faction under Ajit Pawar broke away and formed the government under the leadership of Devendra Fadnavis. Pawar is due to hold a press meet later in the day.
