Minister of state for external affairs Vijay Kumar Singh on Thursday won the Ghaziabad Lok Sabha seat from Uttar Pradesh.
The Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is poised for a stunning victory in the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 with what now looks like an unassailable lead of 341 seats — well above the halfway mark in Lok Sabha — as early trends poured in from various parts of the country.
The BJP and its allies are leading in 343 seats.
The Congress party, which has been in power for all but 23 of the last 72 years, appeared to be heading for another lower tally, after its dismal showing in 2014, leading in 96 seats.
