Dr K Padmarajan is India's most unsuccessful candidate, having contested in about 170 elections, losing all of them.
Padmarajan's name has been mentioned in the Limca Book of Records as 'India's Most Unsuccessful Candidate'.
Padmarajan, who has labelled himself as "All India Election King", hails from Salem, Tamil Nadu. He started his political career in 1988 and has contested not just local but even Presidential elections against big names such as Atal Bihari Vajpayee, APJ Abdul Kalam, Jayalalithaa among others.
