The Congress on Tuesday released its sixth list of nine candidates for the Lok Sabha election -- two from Kerala and seven from Maharashtra.
The Congress has fielded senior leader Eknath Gaikwad from Mumbai South-Central Lok Sabha seat, KC Padavi from Nandurbar, Kunal Rohidas Patil from Dhule, Adv Charulata Khajasingh Tokas from Wardha, Manikrao G Thakare from Yavatmal Washim, Bhausaheb Kamble from Shirdi and Navinchandra Bandivadekar Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg.
Meanwhile, Adoor Prakash, who will contest from Attingal constituency, is a sitting MLA from Konni. He has been a five-time MLA, having won from Konni in 1996, 2001, 2006 and 2011. The party also announced Shanimol Usman as its candidate for Alappuzha Lok Sabha seat.
The Congress has so far announced a total of 146 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections.
