China wants economic control in Pakistan, says Arun Jaitley

China on Thursday blocked India’s move to blacklist Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar at the United Nations Security Council. In a big Network 18 exclusive, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that this was China's old stand with respect to Azhar and added that "China wants economic control in Pakistan."

China on Thursday blocked India’s move to blacklist Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar at the United Nations Security Council.

In a big Network 18 exclusive, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that this was China's old stand with respect to Azhar and added that "China wants economic control in Pakistan."
Talking about the air strikes, Jaitley said, "India’s diplomacy was very successful since no country criticized air strikes."
He further said that even Pakistan’s allies were neutral on India’s air strikes.
On the China-Pakistan front, he said, "China’s stand on Pakistan has been the same even during United Progressive Alliance’s (UPA) tenure."
