Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Monday, February 5, reply to the Motion of Thanks on the Presidential address delivered on January 31 in the Parliament. Modi is expected to list the government's achievements, set the agenda for the Lok Sabha polls and also hit out at the Opposition in his address.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister's Office said, "At around 5 PM this evening, PM @narendramodi will speak in the Lok Sabha during the discussion on the Motion of Thanks on the President's Address."
This could be his last address to the Lower House in the current Lok Sabha with elections likely to be held in April-May.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has issued a three-line whip to all its Lok Sabha MPs to be present in the House.
Also, an important bill on Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) was introduced in the Lok Sabha, as per a budget announcement.
The Budget Session commenced on January 31 and will conclude on February 9. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented Interim Budget on February 1.
