With Lok Sabha elections just a few months away, the country's two biggest political parties are finalising their advertising partners ahead of their poll campaigns due to start next week.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has finalised ad agency Ogilvy as its campaign partner, while Congress is yet to finalise on the same, Business Standard reported.
The report added that Narendra Modi will be the face of the campaign for BJP and Rahul Gandhi will take the centre stage for Congress.
"In 2014, the BJP had used ad agency Soho Square (now called 82.5 Communications), which is part of the Ogilvy group, as well as, McCann Worldgroup's ad agency TAG for its campaign. Soho Square had coined taglines "Abki Baar Modi Sarkar," while McCann Worldgroup had released BJP's anthem called "Saugandh Mitti Ki," the report added.
While Congress is still looking for an ad agency ahead of the election campaign, FCB and Leo Burnett are in the fray for the oppositions account, which is being supervised by Congress president Rahul Gandhi, the report said.
