Bihar floor test highlights: Nitish Kumar-led govt wins floor test, BJP stages walkout
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's government on Wednesday won the trust vote on the floor of the Vidhan Sabha. The Special Session of the Bihar Assembly commenced on a stormy note and Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha's also stepped down. Earlier this month, Kumar stepped down as Bihar CM after walking out of the BJP-led NDA alliance. Kumar's JD(U) joined hands with RJD and Congress, and he was sworn in as the Bihar CM on August 10 for a record eighth time. The 'Mahagathbandhan', which comprises JD(U), RJD, Congress, CPI(ML), CPI, and CPI(M), has a combined strength of more than 160 in the 243-strong House.

Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation raided at least 25 locations, including a Gurugram mall linked to Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav. Other locations included the residences of RJD MPs Ashfaque Karim, Faiyaz Ahmad, RJD MLC Sunil Singh, and former RJD MLC Subodh Roy in Patna.
