Arvind Kejriwal Arrest: 'Undeclared Emergency', 'INDIA will give befitting reply' — Here's what politicians said
AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was in ED custody overnight following his arrest, in connection with the ongoing probe into the alleged irregularities surrounding the capital's liquor policy.

His arrest came just a few hours after the Delhi High Court declined to restrain the Enforcement Directorate (ED) from taking coercive action against Kejriwal.
Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders held a press conference overnight, calling for an an All-India protest against Kejriwal's arrest on Friday, March 22.
AAP leader and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann on his X handle said the "BJP's political team (ED)" cannot arrest Kejriwal's mind because only AAP can stop the saffron party. He said one's mind can never be suppressed.
AAP leader Raghav Chadha said the country is under an "undeclared Emergency". "India has never seen such blatant misuse of agencies," he said in a post on X.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on X took a dig at the Centre saying capturing institutions such as the media, breaking up parties, extorting money from companies, and freezing the main opposition party's account was not enough for those in power, and now the arrest of the chief ministers has become a common thing. He said the INDI alliance will give a befitting reply to the same.
Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav said the BJP fears that it will not come to power again, which is why it wants to remove the opposition leaders from the public ahead of elections and the arrest is just an excuse.
