SUMMARY

On this day July 27, 1939, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) came into existence as Crown Representative’s Police in India. It later became the CRPF on enactment of the CRPF Act in 1949. On the same day in 1940, Warner Brothers released the Looney Tunes animated short film “A Wild Hare” which featured the debut of the iconic character “Bugs Bunny” in his familiar incarnation.
