TUNISIA: Tunisia has assembled a team, which is waiting to depart pending authorisation from Morocco, to support search and rescue efforts, a spokesperson for the country's civil protection agency said on Sunday. Interior Ministry officials said earlier that the team had already arrived in Morocco. The team includes about 50 paramedics and personnel from a specialised unit, search dogs, as well as advanced thermal monitoring devices, a drone to detect victims under the rubble and a field hospital. SPAIN: In response to a formal request from Morocco, Spain, demonstrating its solidarity and friendship with the Moroccan people, is set to dispatch search and rescue teams along with aid, according to Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares. Albares communicated this commitment during an interview with Catalunya Radio, following a conversation with his Moroccan counterpart. FRANCE: While France is prepared to assist Morocco, a request for aid has not yet been made by the Moroccan government, according to a spokesperson from the French Foreign Ministry. In a separate development, the ministry is mobilising a fund comprised of local government contributions to facilitate solidarity actions, with pledges nearing 2 million euros ($2.14 million). Telecoms group Orange has announced that it will waive charges for fixed and mobile calls as well as SMS to Morocco for its mobile clients until Sept. 16. ISRAEL: Israel’s national medical and disaster emergency service, Magen David Adom, has extended an offer of assistance to the Moroccan Red Crescent, as stated by its head on Saturday. The organisation is preparing to dispatch representatives within the next few hours, according to a recent statement.
