1. Drink on a full stomach: Experts suggest, contrary to the common practice of a late-night meal after drinking to avoid a hangover. It would be more appropriate to have food before you start drinking and enjoying your drink when your stomach is full helps avoid a hangover. When you've eaten some food, alcohol mixes with gastric juices and enzymes and goes through a slow absorption process. In contrast, the body absorbs alcohol faster when consumed on an empty stomach. 2. Stay hydrated: Dehydration is an important factor that aids hangovers. A hydrated body can process alcohol in a better way. It reduces the chances of inflammation in the stomach or intestine, according to experts. 3. Choose low-additive wines, beer, or spirits: The type of alcoholic drink consumed contributes to the severity of the hangover. Instead, opting for beer, wine, or spirits with fewer additives can help reduce chances of a bad hangover. 4. Avoid Caffeine and savour a detox drink: After indulging in alcohol, if you experience a hangover the next morning, a detox drink can help you get rid of those uncomfortable experiences. You can drink lemon water or ginger tea. Lemon juice is rich in vitamin C and aids liver detoxification and revitalises your body. Sipping on ginger tea will help in soothing your stomach and will reduce the feeling of nausea. But, it's important to avoid caffeine drinks as it may lead to further dehydration.
