Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has been named the chairman of the tech giant and will take over from John Thompson, who will return to the role of lead independent director. Sundar Pichai | Google's parent Alphabet announced on December 3 that its co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin were stepping back from running things at Alphabet.
