August sales figures for the automobile industry in the country didn’t make for a pleasant reading, with most major manufacturers reporting declining sales. Maruti Suzuki India, registered a 32.7 percent decline in its total vehicle sales in August 2019 on a year-on-year basis. However, India’s largest automaker, still went on to dominate the top ten selling cars in the country last month, with eight of its offerings making the list.
