Bajaj has unveiled a new variant of the Pulsar, the N150, priced at Rs 1,17,134 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The launch comes just a day after leaked images surfaced from a dealership. The N150 shares the same sporty design as the N160, featuring a bikini fairing with a single-pod headlamp, aggressive tank extensions with graphics, and a chin fairing. (Image: Bajajauto.com)
The N150 is equipped with an LED headlight, a semi-digital instrument console, a side-stand cut-off sensor and single-channel ABS. It also boasts a single-piece seat, a narrow tail section and a conventional grab rail. The bike is available in three colours: Racing Red, Ebony Black and Metallic Pearl White. The N150 is powered by a 149.6cc single-cylinder engine that develops 14 BHP and 13.5 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Bajaj has used the platform of the base Pulsar P150 for the N150 but has given it a similar look to the bigger N160. (Image: Bajajauto.com)
The new bike is fitted with a telescopic front fork and a mono-shock at the rear. The brake setup consists of a 260 mm front disc and a 130 drum brake at the rear. Compared with the P150, the N150 gets a fatter rear tyre as well. (Image: Bajajauto.com)
The N150’s pricing almost exactly matches the P150’s earlier price and this motorcycle will replace the P150 in Bajaj’s lineup. The Pulsar P150 sold in lacklustre numbers partly due to its slim and sleek design which did not go down well with the traditional Pulsar crowd. (Image: Bajajauto.com)
Bajaj hopes that the sportier and more muscular looks from the N160 as well as the more efficient engine (compared with the N160) will make the new Pulsar N150 more appealing to the masses. The aggressive pricing will certainly help this bike to make a strong start. (Image: Bajajauto.com)
