My goal is to make a retirement corpus and my child's education. Please assess my portfolio.
A: You have three ULIP plan investments. It is recommended not to mix investments and insurance as you don't fulfil either of thing required investments and sufficient insurance cover. I will recommend you to stop ULIP investments, divert that money to buy sufficient term cover and invest money in mutual fund SIP.
Your mutual fund funds are good. Look to stop SBI Large Cap and start ICICI Pru Multi-Cap. After stopping ULIP and taking life cover, you would have Rs 10,000 surplus, you can invest in L&T Mid Cap and Tata Equity PE Fund. If you invest for another 25 years for Rs 35,000 with 14 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR), you can generate a corpus of Rs 9.5 crore.
