Generated Jeevan Pramaan Patra online? How to check status and download digital life certificate
It's imperative for pensioners to submit their 'life certificate' or Jeevan Pramaan Patra in November to their respective pension-disbursing authorities (PDAs), including banks and post offices. Pensioners have two options for submitting their life certificates. They can either personally visit their pension-disbursing authorities (PDAs) or utilise the online submission method. The Jeevan Pramaan Patra holds a validity of 12 months from the date of the last submission, providing flexibility for pensioners.
While some pensioners may have already submitted their certificates online, others may be in the process of doing so. For those who have generated it digitally, it's important to check the status of their submission.
Here's how to do it:
Upon successful generation of the digital life certificate, users will receive an acknowledgement SMS on the registered mobile number. This SMS will include the Jeevan Pramaan Certificate ID details. Pensioners can also find the Pramaan ID on the screen after the completion of the process.
After the ID is generated, users can download the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) by visiting the official website https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/ppouser/login.
It's worth noting that Jeevan Pramaan certificates may get rejected if incorrect particulars are provided during the DLC generation process. To resolve this, it is recommended to generate a new Jeevan Pramaan by ensuring all information and biometrics are accurate. If issues persist, users can contact their respective PDA for assistance.
Importantly, pensioners are not required to submit the DLC to the bank, post office, or PDA. The certificate will be automatically available to them electronically.
In case of any issues, such as non-generation of DLC or rejection by the PDA, pensioners can lodge a complaint with the respective PDA. Additionally, for service-related issues from India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) or banks, they can find detailed instructions and contact information on the respective websites.
