The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) is not considering any proposal to ban credit-linked life insurance policies, CNBC-TV18 learnt from sources.
According to reports, IRDAI was considering a proposal to disallow using general policies as collateral for availing loans and there was some apprehension that the regulator could do the same for life insurance policies as well.
