Homegrown automaker TVS Motor Company has launched the TVS NEO AMI 125 in the African market. According to the company, the bike comes with more than 70 features that enhance the riding experience and offer connected tech.
TVS claims that its latest offering is built on three principles: dimensions, convenience, and innovation. It has a 124.8cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled SOHC, fuel-injected engine. This unit churns out a power output of 9.8 bhp and a torque of 10.8 Nm. It is available in three colours - blue, red, and black.
Key features of the new bike include an all-in-one lock, intelligent access (iXS) for the last parked location, twin USB charging, ground clearance of 157 mm, tubeless tyres, and a utility box with an auto glow light.
Rahul Nayak, Vice President of International Business at TVS Motor Company, in a company statement, said, “The TVS NEO AMI 125 addresses some of the unique requirements of African customers — vehicles with higher ground clearance, longer seats for a comfortable ride, and feature-rich vehicles to ease their daily commute.”
The TVS NEO AMI also has a stay-connected, on-the-go feature. It will be available at all TVS partner showrooms in several African countries. As of now, TVS sells products in over 80 countries across Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Exports comprise nearly 25% of the company’s business as of H1 FY 2023.
