Suzlon Energy's shares have recovered from the session's lows after winning a repeat order of 193.2 MW from the KP Group in Gujarat.
It will supply 92 wind turbines with a rated capacity of 2.1 MW each.
The project, with a total installed capacity of 193.2 MW will be completed at Vagra and Vilayat in the Bharuch district of Gujarat.
A project of this size can provide electricity to nearly 1.25 lakh households and curb nearly 4.96 lakh tonnes of Carbon Dioxide emissions per year, Suzlon said.
Suzlon will execute the project with a scope to supply, supervise and commission. It will additionally undertake post-commissioning operations and maintenance services.
"With an extremely conducive policy environment offered by Gujarat, this order from The KP Group is a testament to India Inc's commitment to building a sustainable India," Suzlon Group Vice Chairman Girish Tanti said.
Suzlon is committed to partnering with the increasing number of Indian industries, driving them toward their net-zero targets while powering the nation with sustainable energy, CEO JP Chalasani said.
In an interaction with CNBC-TV18 earlier this month, promoters of the wind turbine manufacturer said that they do not plan to increase their stake in the company as of now.
The company's promoters currently hold a 13.29% stake in the company and Tanti said there are no plans as of now to change the holding structure.
Suzlon's CFO Himanshu Mody, who in the company's previous interaction with CNBC-TV18 on November 3 had mentioned that the company is not on the block, said that Suzlon currently has 1.6 GW of confirmed orders.
Shares of Suzlon are off the day's low, currently trading 3.5% higher at ₹36.90. The stock is still up 245% so far in 2023.
