The project will be at Everrenew's sites at Vengaimandalam, Trichy District and Ottapidaram in Tuticorin district of Tamil Nadu.
Electricity generated from this project will be used for captive consumption and to power Commercial & Industrial customers.
A project of this size can provide electricity to nearly 2 lakh households and curb 7.31 lakh tonnes of Carbon Dioxide emissions per year, Suzlon said.
The order is for the larger rated 3 MW S144-140m turbines of Suzlon from the 3-3.15 MW product series. Suzlon will also supervise the project, including its commissioning and operations and maintenance services. In interactions with CNBC-TV18, the company's management has highlighted its focus on the 3 MW segment for future order wins.
"This project with Everrenew Energy serves the promising C&I segment of the Indian market, which will be important in driving our national targets over time," Suzlon Vice Chairman Girish Tanti said.
Suzlon's CFO Himanshu Mody, who in the company's interaction with CNBC-TV18 on November 3 had mentioned that the company is not on the block, said that Suzlon currently has 1.6 GW of confirmed orders.
Last week, Suzlon won a new 300 MW order for its 3 MW series from Apraava Energy Pvt. Ltd.
Suzlon has won that order as part of the bid won under the SECI (tranch XIV) auctions.
