The order pertains to the supply of 48 wind turbines with a rated capacity of 2.1 MW each. The project will be installed in Maharashtra. Suzlon will order 48 units of their S120 - 140m wind turbine generators (WTGs).
Electricity generated from this project will be supplied to the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customers in Maharashtra.
Suzlon will execute the project with a full scope of supply, installation and commissioning. Additionally, it will also undertake post-commissioning operation and maintenance services.
"This order is a testament to the quality and reliability of Suzlon’s expertise in creating world‐class customized wind energy solutions for India," said Suzlon CEO JP Chalasani.
Additionally, the company has won a similar 100.8 MW order, this time for its 3 MW series, from a leading Nordic Energy Company.
Under this order, Suzlon will supply 32 wind turbines with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW, S144-140m series each and this project will be completed in Karnataka.
Suzlon's management had earlier highlighted that it is looking to get more orders for its 3 MW turbines.
This is the third order that Suzlon has won in the last week. Earlier, it had won a repeat order of 193.2 MW from the KP Group in Gujarat.
The project will be installed at the Vagra and Vilayat village in the Bharuch district of Gujarat.
In an interaction with CNBC-TV18 earlier this month, promoters of the wind turbine manufacturer said that they do not plan to increase their stake in the company as of now.
Shares of Suzlon have recovered from the day's low but are trading 0.5% lower at ₹36.70. The stock has gained 250% so far in 2023.
