Suzlon Energy has won a new 300 MW order for its 3 MW series from Apraava Energy Pvt. Ltd., the company said in an exchange filing.
The company will supply 100 wind turbines with a rated capacity of 3 MW each. The project will be installed at the client's site in Karnataka.
Suzlon has won this order as part of the bid won under the SECI (tranch XIV) auctions.
A project of this size can provide electricity to nearly 2.5 lakh households and curb close to 9.75 lakh tonnes of Carbon Dioxide emissions every year.
Suzlon will install 100 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower at the Karnataka project site.
The order will be for the company's larger-rated 3 MW, S144-140m turbines from the 3 MW product series.
"The electricity generated from this project will be used to support Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. (UPPCL) to increase the reach of renewable energy in the country," JP Chalasani, Suzlon's CEO was quoted as saying.
Suzlon had on Wednesday won an order of 100.8 MW from Mahindra Susten, a Mahindra Group company. Additionally, it won a similar 100.8 MW for its 3 MW series from a leading Nordic Energy Company.
This is the fourth order that Suzlon has won in the last week. Earlier, it had won a repeat order of 193.2 MW from the KP Group in Gujarat.
In an interaction with CNBC-TV18 earlier this month, promoters of the wind turbine manufacturer said that they do not plan to increase their stake in the company as of now.
Shares of Suzlon are trading 3% ₹38.20. The stock has surged 245% so far in 2023.
