For this order, Suzlon will install 23 wind turbine generators with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower and a rated capacity of 3.15 MW each at the client's site at Dwarka in Gujarat.
The order is for Suzlon's larger rated 3.15 MW, S144-140m turbines from the 3 MW product series. Suzlon will not only supply the wind turbines and execute the project, but it will also undertake comprehensive operations and maintenance services after the commissioning of the project.
Suzlon has won this order as part of the bid awarded to Juniper Green Energy Pvt. Ltd. by the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. A project of this size can provide electricity to nearly 59,000 households and curb nearly 2.35 lakh tonnes of Carbon Dioxide emissions per year.
In an interaction with CNBC-TV18, Suzlon Energy CEO JP Chalasani said, that the company is currently sitting on its highest-ever order book with 9 GW bids finalised and awarded to IPPs but has not yet been commissioned.
Orders worth 3 GW within the Commercial & Industrial space are currently under execution, Chalasani said.
Suzlon's CEO also spoke about the reverse auction process, which has kept stocks like Suzlon and Inox wind under pressure over the last few days. Chalasani said that the reverse auction notifications are for Pure Wind bids. You can read more about the reverse auction process here.
Shares of Suzlon have snapped a five-day losing streak and are currently trading 4.26 percent higher at ₹40.35.
